MISE-EN-SCENE

Mise-en-scene is one of the key factors which helps create the atmosphere of a media text , by manipulating and changing it we can potential replicate or change the whole atmosphere and of the media text. Mise-en-scene compromise of production design and lighting.

Bill Skarsgård (actor)

Bill is an actor who only by the first glance can be clasified as handsome, in the early days of his carier he was quite the heart throb with his stuning looks and masculine body not only that but Bill was also one of the hotest icon of a time but can you imagine how this handsome, stunning gentle men could play roles like Pennywise the Dancing Clown – IT (2017, 2019) and Count Orlok – Nosferatu (2025, upcoming)? 

This was made possible only due to the makeup and costumes which we utilized into molding such a promising looking gentlemen into nightmares which will entrap you into generational trauma. The importance of makeup in us emphasized in many most movies like evil nun and futhermore you cant find a horror movie these days which does not utalize costumes and makeup to morph there stunning looking actors and cast into terrifying monsters.

High-Rise (2016)

 

This is one of the production design of High rise film look how the costumes dive into the old European noble culture and the dim lighting and the expensive looking furnished room gives it a mysterious yet refined vibe at the same time unsettling as it might just look too peaceful...

Crimson peak (2015) 

one of the most impressive set design i have seen, its not only magnificent scale wise but the sheer detailed work that have been put it to make it look so humongous and mysterious yet eerie is unfathomable, after seeing such a set the viewer can only stare at it in awe and these types of set are so masterfully crafted that at one point it becomes art.

Colors:

Colors are life to the world without colors life is to bland to live thus each and every color have its own purpose and meaning and combined together they make a delicate color palette which might contradict each other, a fierce battle of colors to see which stands out more or compliment each other , tranquility and peace.

The above scene is one of the most popular scene of the movie IT but with just a little more contrast, it have a mixture of shades of Teal, Off-whites, and a small splash of Crimson. Each coming together to give a horrifying mysterious atmosphere
